ScheduleThis clinic is scheduled once a summer based on interest, so contact the instructor, Alan, as soon as possible. It will only appear in the the club calendar if the required minimum number of participants has been reached. Equipment You need to make your own pole prior to the course. They are easy to make and at about $25 a pole is a lot cheaper than a paddle! Alan will provide the instructions upon registration. Club boats are available free of charge for the clinic. Please make arrangements with the Equipment Manager well before the clinic. You will need to transport the paddling equipment to and from the clinic sites. The session will begin on calm flatwater and introduce basic techniques. Learn how easy it is to get along even when your pole can’t reach the bottom of the lake! There will be lots of time practicing in your boat with a pole. For the the second part we’ll move to Pembina River to use techniques on moving water for both up-river and down-river travel.
