Trip Description:

Day 1

On Wed afternoon we will meet at the Battle Lake campground.  There will be an evening paddle of Battle Lake at 7 p.m. to allow those who want to just come for the evening or to come out after work.  There will be a great opportunity to sit around the fire telling stories and whatnot for those who want to stay the night.

Day 2

Thursday morning we will pack a lunch and head down the road to Twin Lakes.  We will meet at the boat launch for the East Lake at 9:30 am and head out on the smaller East Lake for the morning.  After a morning paddle we will head over to the beach area on the West Lake and have a picnic lunch before heading out on an afternoon paddle of the West Lake.  When we've paddled both lakes we will head back to the campground at Battle Lake.  Depending on the pandemic situation we can head into the village at Pigeon Lake for supper/ice cream/coffee whatever people want to do.

Day 3

Friday morning we can head out for another morning paddle on Battle Lake for those who would like to then checkout and head home.

Notes:

The Campgrounds at Battle and Twin Lakes are first come first serve.  If you are planning on camping then please make your own arrangements.  I will be there for the two nights and am planning on camping at Battle Lake.  The campground there is a little closer together which is more conducive to visiting and the boat launch is right at the campground. Some of the tenting campgrounds are right along the lake.

There is a campground at Twin Lakes as well but the sites are spread out and there is a lot of elevation in the campground which would spread us out.  It is an option if the Battle Lake campground is full.  Everything is spread out and you would need to use your vehicle to haul your boat to the launch sites at the lakes which is why I chose Battle Lake as our base.

This trip is for all levels and abilities.  It is open to Canoe, and both touring and rec kayaks.  This trip would be suitable for beginners and up.  Please contact me to register for the trip no later than Sunday July 18th.  You can register for the full 2 night camping trip.  Either of the overnights or just the day trips so it is very flexible for peoples schedules.  If you have any questions then don't hesitate to contact me.
