It can easily cost between $1000 and $2000 to purchase your own boat, pfd, paddles, flotation and other equipment. Renting from the club can save considerable expense and allow you to concentrate on acquiring personal gear such as wet suits, wet boots, roof racks, ropes, etc. Renting also provides you with the opportunity to try a variety of boats before you decide on one to purchase.
Our rental rates are low compared to normal commercial rates.
Courses have first priority on boats and equipment. Bookings must be made by Wednesday evening before the rental and returned by the following Wednesday.

All club equipment is only available to club members for Club, Paddle Alberta, Paddle Canada, or Alberta Whitewater Association activities. Club members CANNOT use boats for personal trips or allow non-club members aboard for liability reasons.
Club boats and equipment are available for free for courses. If the training location is not Confederation Pool or Rundle Paddling Centre you may have to arrange transportation for boats to and from the training site.
Boat Rental and Other Fees:
Single trip: Rental fees are $25 for the first day and $5 for each additional day. Single trip rental applies to canoe, whitewater kayaks and touring kayaks.
Weekly: Rent a touring kayak for $25 per week to a maximum of 4 weeks prepaid. The rental after 4 weeks can be renewed as long as there is not a waiting list.
Monthly: The monthly rental contract will cost $50 for the entire month of 31 days and $5 for each additional day. The monthly rental season will consist of an entire month or 31 days whichever is longer. Monthly rental applies to canoe and whitewater kayaks only.
Seasonal: Rent a boat for the entire season for one low price of $100. You will have possession of the boat for the entire paddling season to which you will be able to use the boat for any and all clubs trips you should so choose. You can also change boats as you wish but transportation of the boat(s) will be your responsibility.Seasonal Rental applies to canoes and whitewater kayaks only.
